Your Opportunity

Scalyr is looking for a passionate WordPress Developer with the skills and the drive to build and maintain digital experiences for our brand website. You'll work with top talent marketing and engineering colleagues in a fun, fast-paced startup environment. Each day, you'll write code, publish content, design and optimize websites and user experiences. In this role, you will make a big impact on the way Scalyr is presented to the outside world and see that impact quickly.


  • Own the Scalyr brand website end to end
  • Work cross functionally with the marketing and engineering teams to present Scalyr to the outside world through our website
  • Own the overall design and optimization for the website
  • Create great user experiences on the website   


  • Strong knowledge of WordPress and common plugins
  • Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Photoshop skills
  • Familiarity with Git, AWS, SaaS, CMS, MySQL, XML/JSON, Rest API
  • Website design and development with an eye for flair and commitment to speed and quality
  • Proven experience building and maintaining WordPress sites and themes
  • Expertise in building complex, responsive layouts with CSS3 and HTML5
  • Experience with Google Search Center, Google Analytics
  • Experience with website testing and optimization a plus
  • Highly organized and able to be autonomous in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and comfortable with estimating deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Good team player with empathy
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience required
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience
